AMR CyberSecurity approved as Defence Cyber Certification (DCC) Certification Body across all levels

AMR CyberSecurity, part of the Infinum Group, has announced that it has been approved as a Certification Body for Defence Cyber Certification (DCC) Levels 2 and 3. This means AMR CyberSecurity is now approved to certify organisations across the full range of DCC requirements and support the level of cyber security assurance expected within the defence supply chain. DCC was developed by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD), with IASME Consortium acting as the Certifying Authority.

DCC provides a framework for assessing cyber security across the defence supply chain, structured across four levels aligned to the cyber risk associated with specific contracts. Levels 2 and 3 include increased expectations around governance, technical controls and independent assurance.

With approval now spanning Levels 0 through to 3, AMR CyberSecurity can now carry out DCC assessments across the entire defence industry supply chain, from lower-risk suppliers through to those operating in higher-risk and more complex defence environments.

"Being approved as a Certification Body for Defence Cyber Certification across all levels is an important milestone for us,” said Martin Walsham, Director of CyberSecurity at AMR CyberSecurity. “DCC provides a clear and structured framework for cyber security within the defence supply chain and our approval to deliver the certification reflects the standards we apply in our own operations as well as the experience we bring to supporting organisations."

The DCC scheme forms part of the MoD’s approach to strengthening cyber resilience across its supply chain. As it continues to be rolled out, the number of organisations approved to deliver certification across multiple levels remains limited, particularly at the higher levels where requirements are more extensive.

"With defence systems and supply chains increasingly interconnected, structured cyber assurance is essential for operational resilience and trusted delivery," added Walsham. "As a Certification Body, we are proud to be helping to provide a consistent benchmark for cyber security maturity that will improve confidence in suppliers handling defence information and systems."
